Heal Thy Self

And then the day came, When the risk
To remain tight, In a bud
Was more painful
Than the risk it took
To Blossom

HEAL THYSELF
Hi, I’m Cheyenne Bitton, a mom of two beautiful girls, living along the breathtaking Atlantic Seaboard in Cape Town. I was born in Durban, but for eighteen years, Cape Town has been my home , a place that grounds me and inspires me. By day, I work in the corporate world, supporting a high-level executive and navigating the challenges of fast-paced environments with focus and structure. But the heart of who I am comes alive outside of work : through art, design, wellness, and the meals I create for the people I love most. My journey with health and mindful eating has been long and layered. I’ve experimented with countless diets in the past, chasing external standards, only to learn that true wellbeing comes from presence. Today, mindful eating is my anchor: listening to my body, noticing how food makes me feel, and choosing meals that support not just health, but joy, connection, and balance. A huge part of this transformation has been inspired by my husband, my soulmate, and the most wonderful father to our daughters. He has a natural flair in the kitchen, especially with his Mediterranean style of cooking full of fresh, vibrant flavours and a love of food that is both soulful and abundant. His passion reignited my own. Together, we’ve created a family culture where food is not just fuel, but an experience of sharing, slowing down, and savouring. Motherhood has also been my greatest teacher. I walked the road of single parenting with my eldest daughter and now co-parent her with her dad - a journey that taught me strength and resilience. With my youngest, I faced new challenges: severe colic and allergies that completely reshaped how I approached cooking and eating. Instead of restriction, I found creativity - turning limitations into opportunities to explore new flavours, recipes, and mindful practices. At the end of the day, I’m a mom, a wife, a creative, and a seeker of wellness. I’ve stumbled, learned, and grown - and through HealthySelf, I hope to share those lessons with others. My wish is to inspire you to approach your own journey with curiosity, compassion, and presence, discovering not just what nourishes your body, but also your soul.
